This tut will show you how to download/add (import) brushes, and has been written using PSP Photo X2 - but can be used for PSP versions 8 upwards.
Downloading/Importing PSP Brushes

1. The first and most important thing to do is make a new folder, this is where you will download your brushes, and it will make it easier for you to find the brushes when importing them. In the My Documents folder, I have a new sub folder called Brushes - it is in this folder that I unzip/extract brushes that I download from the net.

2. I'm going to use this site and download the filmstrip brushes :
here

3. Click on the PSP download icon, and you should get a Winzip screen. I'm using an evaluation software, so to download I choose "Use evaluation version"

4. You will then get a screen that looks like this:

5. Using keyboard do Ctrl A and all the files will be highlighted. Keeping your finger on the Ctrl key, left click on the "text document (top file)" to unselect it. This is not a brush and should be downloaded to another folder on your hard drive. This is the owners copyright info. Your screen now looks like this.

6. At the top of the screen click on the User Picture.. icon.

7. You now need to find your Brush folder to download the brushes to and then click Extract.

The brushes have now been downloaded. Now open up PSP, we are now going to Import the brushes into PSP.

9. You will then see this screen User Picture..
Click on Open > Look In > find My Documents Folder > find the Brush folder and click on "Open".

10. You will then get a screen listing all the brushes you have downloaded, you need to highlight the brushes you want to import. In my example I need to simply highlight the Filmstrip files. To highlight more than one file at a time hold down the Ctrl key and left click each file and then click "open".

11. You will then get this screen and on the left hand side you will see icons of the film brushes.

12. Click on Add All and now the brushes have been moved over into the emtpy right hand box ready to be imported.

13. Click on OK and that's it.

If you now click in the brush section and scroll down you will see the filmstrip brushes.
