Shayne originally had a tutorial similar to this posted on the forum, but it got deleted with the server change. Anyways, this shows you how to make youtube videos autoplay and/or play in the background.

Autoplay


&autoplay=1 is the key thing.
your code should look like this before::.
[youtube]http://youtube.com/watch?v=3ArN5p-8_JY[/youtube]

Once you add &autoplay=1 it should look like this::.
[youtube]http://youtube.com/watch?v=3ArN5p-8_JY&autoplay=1[/youtube]

Done. :)

Note


To make it invisible / play like background music add this in your customize profile section:
embed{width:1px; height:1px;}

Help?? I have the youtube in correctly BUT it will not be invisible. I put the embed{width:1px; height:1px;}into my customize profile and the other part where it belongs. It worked yesterday, now I can see it actually playing. Thanks.

Hi...i am new at this and i have tried to get a candlebox video on my layout and i cant seem to figure it out. i read the tutorials that you and shayne made but its not helping. i have tried the code alot of diff ways...Please help! thanks

I figured it out why it wasn't showing up or playing. I was using the wrong code from YouTube. It's small/tiny, but for now, I'm happy with it. Thanks for your help.

that part goes in your Edit Profile section.

Hello. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm trying to figure out how things work to add some life to my layout. I found a video from YouTube that I would like to put on my layout, but I don't know where in the Customize Profile Section it needs to go. At the beginning, the middle, the end?? And what is the whole code supposed to look like once the &autoplay=1 is added? It's becoming a headache after staring at the computer screen for 30min trying to figure things out. I would appreciate the help. Thanks.
