This is a very old recipe, it came from my great great grandmother
Old Fashion Potato Filling
(very old recipe, from my great great grandmother)
5 or 6 potatoes, mashed
1 cup chicken breast, finally chopped (1-2 skinless chicken breast)
1/2 cup onions, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced
2 cloves of garlic, diced
4 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon parsley
milk
6 slices bread, diced or 1 1/4 cup bread crumbs
1. Cook potatoes and mash, using some butter and milk
2. In a fry pan cook the chicken until it is done
3. Add the onions, celery and garlic with the butter, until soft
3. Add parsley
4. Mix together the mashed potatoes, and onion mixture with a little milk. (enough milk to moisten)
5. Add the bread to the mixture and if mix looks to dry add a little more milk.
6. Stir until mixed well
7. Put into a greased baking dish
8. Bake at 350F for about 45 minutes
