Abuse, if it is you, then get help

I used to be a "good girl"
The kind that guys love to use.
The type so foolish to believe obvious lies
That I ended up being abused.
No guy had ever put his eyes on me.
I did not know how to kiss.
I was so innocent, so blind and stupid,
A perfect blank, no one could miss.

For sixteen years, I lived daydreaming
Of a charming prince who'd fall for me.
That's when I met the guy who played me.
A jerk instead, he turned out to be.
At first I saw the good in him.
He seemed so nice, so sweet, and kind.
But he only lied, and had some fun,
With the game of love he had in mind.

He broke my heart and made it bleed,
Leaving a wound too big to mend.
The fairy-tale I'd always dreamed of,
Came without its happy end.
I hurt so bad I cried eight rivers.
Without a choice, I let him go.
Knowing my innocence had been his game,
I let the girl inside me grow.

I now no longer own my sensibility.
And I'm no longer allowed to cry.
Because he took advantage of me
And made me not want to date another guy.
I know today he isn't worth it.
But I just can't rewind the years
To go back in time when I was a little girl,
With dreams and hopes instead of fears.
